This lovely excursion is possible to make on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Enjoy a very nice boat trip to Lipari and Volcano, two of the nicest little islands in the Mediterranean Sea. Alicudi and Filicudi

Every Sunday you can go to visit the very small and beautiful islands Alicudi and Filicudi. This is not a typical cultural excursion, but for a day of complete relaxation it is perfect.

Agrigento

You have the possibility go to Agrigento, which is a world renowned ancient town on the southern coast of Sicily. Visit the Roman Villa del Casale and the Valley of the Temples (Greeks Temples)

Mount Etna

Another super excursion is to the biggest volcano in Europe, Mount Etna.

Palermo

Finally, go to the famous and beautiful capital city of Palermo for a day trip to experience one of the most chaotic cities in Europe. Palermo is also one of the first Cosmopolitan cities in Europe dating from 400 B.C. In Palermo you can enjoy shopping and also tours around the city. And why not pop over to Corleone to meet the real Godfather if still around the village.

Wines and Wine Trails

There are many excellent Sicilian wines - both red and white -, which are typically full of flavour and body. While most of the large vineyards are in the western side of the island there are many small vineyards and even more small producers on the eastern side. Most small producers will grow some local grapes varieties, and also purchase grapes from the western part of the island. The result is a wide variety of different wines that for the best part are not DOC but are great tasting wines. Many are organic.
